Section 7.24

 Subd 1.  No person shall move any house, building or other structure thru or across any of the streets or public highways of the City without first obtaining a permit in writing therefore from the City Council.  All permits issued for that purpose shall designate streets or public highways over which any such house, building or other structure shall be moved, and the time during which such streets or public highways shall be occupied for such purpose.

Subd 2.  Any removal or alteration of any street, crossing or other property of said City, shall be done only by such competent persons as the Council may direct, and at the cost and expense of the person making application for such permit.

 

Subd 3.  Any person applying to said Council for a permit for the purposes herein provided, shall first deposit with the City Administrator a good and sufficient bond, with good and sufficient sureties, thereon to be approved by said Council in a sum of not less than $1,000.00 to secure the faithful performance and discharge of his duties, and compliance with the rules and Code regulations of the City, and provisions of any permit that may be issued as herein provided, and to indemnify the City against any loss that it may sustain to any of its property as aforesaid by reason of negligence or misconduct of the person moving any building as aforesaid.

 

Subd 4.  It is a misdemeanor for any person to violate any of the provisions of this Section.
